Prediction and learning – from research to practice

Prediction has an important role in learning in and outside the classroom. Predictions are based on prior knowledge, influence decision-making and prompt learning. In this session we explore a series of recent cognitive neuroscientific research findings and implication to learning, memory and curiosity. We then look into the role of prediction in the classroom – how making focused predictions on the basis of prior knowledge can promote students’ learning, and teacher’s insight.
