Attempting a Hat Trick: The Art of Using the Science of Learning
This session will provide a brief introduction to some of the main findings in the cognitive psychology literature on memory and the science of learning. I will share my experiences incorporating these findings into the classroom and provide practical examples and advice on how to link research to practice.
Chan holds a PhD in psychology and a MSc in education. She uses her graduate training and experience in the classroom to design and deliver courses based on the cognitive psychology literature on the science of learning, as well as evaluate learner and program outcomes. She is passionate about knowledge translation and working with teachers at all levels to incorporate evidence-based practices.
