SUMMARY:researchED Haninge 2020-CANCELLED
DESCRIPTION:Dear attendees \n\nIt is with enormous regret that we must announce the cancellation this weekend’s researchED event.\n\nThis has been done\, of course\, in response to the Corona Virus\, and to combat its spread through social distancing. It is a decision imposed on us by the Public Health Agency of Sweden\, who have insisted on a ban of events with 500 or more people:\n\nhttps://www.folkhalsomyndigheten.se/nyheter-och-press/nyhetsarkiv/2020/mars/forslag-inga-allmanna-sammankomster-med-fler-an-500-personer/\n\nI think it is the right thing to do\, in the circumstances\, and as an act of prudence and preservation\, particularly for this members of our communities who are more at risk.\n\nWe regret any inconvenience and disappointment this has caused you\, and we thank you both for your intended attendance\, and for your understanding at this difficult time.\n\nWe intend to postpone/ reschedule this event rather than cancel it fully. We will be in touch to ask if you would kindly join us again in the future.\n\nAs a result\, we would like to offer the following options regarding tickets:\n\n1. Keep your ticket and it will be valid at the next event we organise. We hope that this will be in September-November 2020 sometime.\n2. Request a refund. Do remember that tickets for researchED are highly in demand\, and for this event we had a waiting list of several hundred\, so it may be more prudent to hold on to your ticket if you want to come again.\n\nIf possible we would be extremely grateful if you could retain the ticket for the next event as we are a volunteer only organisation with very limited administration.\n\nIf you have incurred any expenses in this process\, our advice would be- in the first instance- see if travel companies\, airlines etc will refund or cancel your tickets\, or if your institutions would absorb the cost in the event of them having insurance for such circumstances.\n\nOnce again\, my sincerest regret at the way this has turned out\, but I hope you will agree with us when we say that the public health\, and the public good must come first\, and it would be inconsiderate to proceed in the face of government advice. Please be safe\, be well\, and look after one another. We hope to see you with better news very soon.\n\nYours sincerely\n\nTom Bennett\nEva Hartell\nSara Hjelm\n\nresearchED\n  \n  \n[av_buttonrow alignment=’center’ button_spacing=’5′ button_spacing_unit=’px’ alb_description=” id=” custom_class=” av_uid=” admin_preview_bg=”]\n[av_buttonrow_item label=’Download the programme’ icon_select=’yes’ icon=’ue84e’ font=’entypo-fontello’ size=’large’ label_display=” title_attr=” color=’theme-color’ custom_bg=’#444444′ custom_font=’#ffffff’ link=’manually\,https://researched.org.uk/?ddownload=42011′ link_target=”]\n[av_buttonrow_item label=’Download the timetable’ icon_select=’yes’ icon=’ue84a’ font=’entypo-fontello’ size=’large’ label_display=” title_attr=” color=’theme-color’ custom_bg=’#444444′ custom_font=’#ffffff’ link=’manually\,https://researched.org.uk/?ddownload=42013′ link_target=”]\n[/av_buttonrow] \nLatest programme/timetable update: 28 February \n[av_hr class=’invisible’ icon_select=’yes’ icon=’ue808′ font=’entypo-fontello’ position=’center’ shadow=’no-shadow’ height=’30’ custom_border=’av-border-thin’ custom_width=’50px’ custom_margin_top=’30px’ custom_margin_bottom=’30px’ custom_border_color=” custom_icon_color=” id=” custom_class=” av_uid=” admin_preview_bg=”] \nWe are back!
